And...Santa Came....What a Holly Jolly Christmas!!!!

We slept over at grandma's after Christmas Eve dinner with everybody. The girls didn't expect any present from us and just one from Santa this Christmas because we had been trying to save money to go to Chile. I had a conversation with them a couple of weeks before Christmas explaining them that we couldn't do everything. Chile was gonna be really expensive for us because the money exchange, so we really needed to save and because we didn't have already too much money to work with we were gonna had to do the best we "all" of us could. We would get something but maybe not what they were hoping to get. It was sad for me to have to do this because Christmas is "magic" for them but...what else we can do?...I wish they wouldn't have to go through any of this but this is our reality and we have to live on a really tight budget.
Well, after I had this talk with them, actually it was a week before Christmas... I was praying one night...asking God for help. I didn't even know what to ask I just said that I wanted for my girls to have a special Christmas, that I knew that they were hoping for certain things and even though I wasn't the kind of mom that give everything they ask for, I knew they had been trying their best in everything, specially being the best girls they could in the gospel and that HE KNEW that better than me...so that I didn't know what to do, because I  was feeling kind of sad...I was already planing on doing some fun not expensive activities with them and I was looking everywhere for ideas for cool not expensive presents. I knew they were really trying to do their best on being "good troopers" and I saw them happy. This Christmas was gonna be a little bit different.I told my Heavenly Father I was getting more frustrated than them....anyways...The night when I was praying I just pour out my heart to my Heavenly Father and went to bed with a really peaceful  feeling that they were gonna be ok and I shouldn't think too much on them...they were happy why to make things more stressful for them with my frustration. Then, the next morning I went to work...when I was parking I got a text message. It was from a friend of mine...she was asking me if she could give presents to my girls, like "Secret Santa" , she is not a member and she said to please not to get offended but she had been thinking of me a lot lately and if it was ok with me she would do it for my girls then. I started to cry. I WAS SOOOOOOO GRATEFUL to my HEAVENLY FATHER, I KNEW HE MADE THIS LITTLE MIRACLE  POSSIBLE for my girls. I was more than happy and answered her what happened the night before when I was on my knees saying my prayer. I said thank you to her for being so in touch with the spirit. She is a really nice lady and told her I knew that. I was really thankful for her kindness. She told me to make the girls write a letter to Santa asking for whatever they wanted> She was gonna see what she could or not get for them. BUT she got every single thing that my girls ask to Santa, even Ipods!!!...Dominique and Kayla were so happy, neither of them knew about this until after when I share my testimony with them about prayers and how sweet Heavenly Father is with us! How "ANGELS" don't needs winds sometimes to be angels. That we can't forget the things that happened to us because the same way people always help us in one way or another. The same way and example on helping other we need to follow to show our gratitude to our Heavenly Father. We had a wonderful Christmas morning at grandma's house. It was snowing and Mapleton was the perfect setting for a cozy wonderful Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa.  MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Watching them opening presents...looking their faces, they were so happy...priceless!!!

My Baby is Growing

Dominique is not one of those girls that love to spend her precious time in front of the camera at all.!!!...so for her to let me do a 20 to 30 minutes photo session is too much to ask BUT this was her Mother's day present for me...and I love every second of it!. She, without complaining, let me took picture after picture for like 30 minutes...It was the best present ever for me!. I always wanted to  have the time to play and have a real photo session with her but she never let me do it before or it was a pain in the behind after all the complaining, crying and tantrums. Taking pictures is a waste of time for her...for me? its everything!!!...My favorite thing is to capture every moment of their life, how are they growing etc, etc, with my camera. I was so happy today thanks to my little Dominique who gave the best present ever!

Sweet Land of Liberty

Dominique and all the 5th graders from her school, Fox Hollow, and other schools from Utah County went to perform at BYU to do a Patriotic Tribute to America. The whole show was really fun and they did awesome!. They sang some songs, performed some cool moves...the show was super fun! The cheerleaders were old ladies in their 60 and they were really good, it was so fun to watch!...Kyle, Kayla and me enjoy every minute of it. Well done Mimi!
