Missionaries

One of the thing we love the most living here in Harrisburg,PA is the opportunity we have to invite the missionaries to our home for dinner or just to visit and share a message... it feels like living in Chile. The missionary work and the life we have as a members of the church, "Mormons" here its so much as in Chile. We are the only "Mormons" in our neighborhood. Mimi and Kayla are the only members in their school. Kyle and his classmate and friend Chad, who is in our ward too, are the only "Mormons" in the whole Widener School of Law. So, each one of us have had share our testimonies and gospel with somebody here who is not a mormon. My girls have had share the Book of Mormon and their testimonies with their classes in sharing time. Its amazing to see how this has helped their testimonies to grow.
Our Ward has a huge area, maybe 3 or 4 towns... we have so many opportunities to share the gospel. We , as a family, have been sharing the gospel and inviting everybody in our neighborhood to activities and sacrament. Dominique and Kayla invited their friends to church and to our Family Home Evening. They like to come to church with us and participating in our FHE. I have sended the missionaries to some of our friends here, and have had some discussions with the missionaries in our home with some of our neighbors too.
We had 6 missionaries for Christmas dinner. We had 12 or 14 having dinner with us once in a cold rainy day. I remember that time specially because my girls were so happy when all af them decided to sing for us as a family. So there we had a choir of angels singing beautifully just for us. The Spirit was so strong that day I remembered my heart full of gratitude to my Heavenly Father because my girls were able to feel it too!.
The Missionaries were always so nice to our girls and they just adored them and played with them all the time!.
The other thing the girls loved to do was making jokes on the Elders whenever we could. One time I called the missionaries, they were invited for dinner to our home that day, to let them know that we were gonna have a "delicatessen" from my country as a dinner... it was gonna be..."ROASTED PIG HEAD"...mmmmm....YUMMY!!. It was so funny to see their faces when they got home and dinner was ready!. We all had a good laugh about it!
Their favorite thing for dinner was "EMPANADAS". They always asked me to make them...every single week they wanted to come and have Empanadas. There was no missionary who didn't learned how to make EMPANADAS...and eat them!
We had so many nice memories about missionaries in our home. We have our "regalones" too...like, Elder Stefenson..."ffff stefefeson", Anderson, Reyes, and so many more I can't remember all their names...however we will have those memories forever and I hope my girls will never forget the memories and the feelings they had when they were in our home!.

The Ponny Land...How Fun!

We heard about Pony Land in Gettysburg,PA. a few months ago, so we decided to take the girls there. Oh my gosh! it was the cutest and funnest place to take Dominique and Kayla. the girls were in heaven!...They were Miniature Ponies. They were everywhere. You could pet them and play with them without any problem or danger. They have a few other animals too and a really fun show to watch with Ponies and dogs. The girls favorite one was "The Donkey" they said she was the donkey in Shrek!. I had so much fun and loved the place where they have all the ponies. Each one of them were cuter and cuter. We have been so blessed to be able to go and do so many different fun things here in Pennsylvania, this one was way fun for all of us!. Kyle really enjoyed the show. My favorite part was meeting the Donkey too.
We left and headed to the Gettysburg Battle Field. It was just "around the corner"...kind of. Kyle loved it. it was a historical thing and he was having so much fun telling the girls all about it...for me was boring, just a field with a lots of tombs...oh well, at least it was a driving thing. You don't get out of your car you just follow the road with all the stuff along the road for you to read it and see. It was a fun time as a family as always!. I'm so happy that we are doing all this things and having fun together, I hope our girls remember all this moment with us...just being happy and enjoying each other.

Coming Back Home!.

After a few days visiting Utah we were going back home!...We had a great time with family and friends, however it was nice to go back home!..I missed our "little piece of heaven"...I missed our time alone...I missed our friends in Harrisburg. It was nice to be without the humidity for a while but even with it I prefer Harrisburg...I missed the green and beauty of this place. I think its more about our life as a family here more than anything else what I have been missing since we left!...I feel peaceful and loved here!. Our fly was LONG! we got to Washington DC really late and we got "some" problems with our rental. When we called from Utah to rent the car they didn't tell us that we wouldn't be able to pay with credit card and we didn't have our checkbook with us, and even with a check, they said that if we didn't have more than $500 dollars in the account they wouldn't rent us a car...what the heck!..it was almost 12.00am and we were stuck there!. The girls were tired, I was tired and Kyle was hungry and tired, not a good combination for him!...he couldn't think straight and I was getting frustrated because Dominique and Kayla needed to go to sleep!. We did everything we could and at the end we ended renting a car in another place after all the madness and craziness. We headed home .. Kyle had classes at 8.00 am that day, Monday. We were leaving the airport in Washington DC. at 3.00am so 2 1/2 hours were waiting for us of driving to Harrisburg. I was so tired but I had to drive so Kyle could sleep a few hours before school. I don't like to drive at night but fortunately the car was a great car and I didn't have any problem.

Dominique's Wish Came True!

Dominique's wish came true! she had for the first time in her life a Summer B-day party!. Yep, we celebrated Dominique's birthday party at Melanie's house while we stayed in Utah with the whole Czirr Family. Dominique was so happy!. She got so many presents and she had a blast!. I made little cup cakes and they decorated them. Ian Swenson couldn't have more fun with the whipping cream...it wasn't enough cream in the world for him!. I was having so much fun too. We took lots of pictures as always!...everybody came...The Tylers, The Lucenas, Raph and Alicia, The James, Grandma, Melanie Brianna and her kids. It was so fun to have everybody. What a blessing for Mimi to be able to celebrate 2 b-day one in the winter and one now!!!
